A Gift, Not a Given:
A Gift, Not a Given:Jesus said,
"My sheep know my voice; and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish..." John 10:27,28 In other words: Jesus gives eternal life to those who are His. Eternal life with God is a gift, not a given. This gift is offered to everyone, but only received by those who listen to His voice, by those whom He knows personally, and by those who follow Him. In this passage of Scripture, Jesus is confronting men who are not His, men who have not been given eternal life, men who are perishing. Do you know for certain that you are His?
