The mission and purpose of the Rio Assembly of God Church is to maintain a place to worship and exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, expound the Word of God, honor the Holy Spirit, scatter the Word of God, and promote Bible Christianity in the home and foreign lands.

WORSHIP:
As referenced in our Mission Statement, our worship of the one true God is the center of our Core Values. It is our belief that God's purpose concerning man is to be worshiped by man.

GO:
It is the duty of every Christian to GO and be a witness and scatter the Word of God.  Our evangelism takes place through friendship. It is our friends that we win to the Lord - not just to grow the church, but to see life change where the Lordship of Jesus is preeminent.

GROW:
Biblical Christianity is Intentional Discipleship. It is a life long process that has to be holistically balanced and actively engaged. Maturity and fruitfulness are paramount. We are Mission driven, not program driven.

CONNECT:
We connect as a body through 4 different functions. Doctrinally - expounding the Word. Fellowship - edification. Communion - the Lord's Supper and through Prayer - Intercession.

SERVE:
This is our ministry aspect to the body of Christ. "There are different kinds services...and all of us have a part".
